Our Animatic...

This week in class we created an animatic for out music video. An animatic is a short video where you draw storyboards and then upload he images you have drawn to the computer and animate them. Sarah drew the storyboards and together we all put them into final cut and placed the images on top of the music track to get a rough idea of how we wanted out video to look. We added motion to some of our frames to give the idea of camera movement and on the Friday Cathie and Rosie went out and filmed some test footage, using different types of camera movement we had discussed having in out pitch and also which can be seen in out animatic below. When making this we thought a lot about how the shots would line up with the pace of the music for example having slow shots at the begging with not as many cuts where the music is slow and then as the song progress and the tempo of the music quickens we would speed up the cuts so the shots stay in time with the beat.
